Punjab National Bank offers a UPI application for customers of Indian banks. With this application, customers can register with the bank and link their accounts from other banks as well. The application allows customers to make payments and initiate money collection requests to their contacts. The payment address is used to represent and identify the account details, which remain confidential. By adding accounts from different banks, customers can manage all their accounts on a single platform.

The UPI application supports the following transaction sets:

• User profile registration
• Bank account creation
• Payment address creation
• Authentication
• Authorization
• PIN generation

The core transaction functionality includes:

• Pay request
• Collect request
• Collect request approval (Payer approval through Mobile application)
• Debiting / Crediting Payer / Payee accounts
• Virtual address resolution for NPCI-UPI
• Support for all 2-party, 3-party and 4-party models of NPCI UPI
• Third-party address book management

To use UPI, you will need:

• An Android phone with internet services
• A KYC-compliant bank account (Savings, Current and OD)
• The mobile number registered with UPI must be linked to the bank account.
• An active debit card related to the account for creating mPIN.

To register in the PNB UPI application:

1. Tap "CLICK ME" to verify your mobile number. An SMS will be sent from your mobile for verification. The SMS should be sent from the mobile number registered with the bank accounts.
2. After your mobile number is verified, the New Registration screen will be displayed. Fill in the required details.
3. Create a six-digit numeric password for logging into the application and confirm the same.

• android.permission.WRITE_INTERNAL_STORAGE – for storing data in app memory
